The world’s leading temperature measurement microscope solution — with broad placement in both industry and research institutions worldwide.
A Platform Built for the Full Range of Thermal Investigation
The primary InfraScope™ platform is a 2D MWIR temperature mapping microscope with high resolution and high sensitivity. Built to accommodate multiple sensors on a single core system, InfraScope™ supports an InSb camera for temperature mapping, a Transient-IR single-element detector for high-speed thermal events, and the T°Imager™ CCD for submicron thermoreflectance imaging — all on the same system.
Our involvement in temperature measurement microscopy spans several decades, tracing back to our founding in 1997 as a spin-off of EDO/Barnes Engineering, a world-renowned pioneer in the field of IR detectors.

An Optical Purist Approach to Temperature Measurement
Heat radiates in the infrared spectral range, and our MWIR sensors and cameras are capable of capturing these radiant emissions. Sensors are mounted on a movable, slide-based stage, and objective lenses are mounted on a turret. This design minimizes the optical path to simply the selected microscope objective lens and the camera — avoiding the extended relays, beam splitters, and folds that introduce optical aberrations through reflection, deflection, scattering, and absorption.
Custom objective lenses made with infrared transmissive materials — including silicon, germanium, sapphire, and zinc selenide — complete the optical path between the device under test and the sensor.
Our optical purist approach offers a distinct data collection and signal preservation advantage over more complex, less efficient optical paths. Optical quality and reliability are preserved at every step.

Flexible Mechanical Platforms for Any Lab Environment
Different laboratory environments and applications drive customers to seek different mechanical platforms for optical path support and DUT interface. We have designed a family of standard mechanical platforms that answer the majority of application requirements — and when customer requirements diverge from standard solutions, we design custom mechanical platforms and analytical solutions for those unique needs.
