The most comprehensive failure analysis microscope platform available — integrating emmi™, XIVA™ LSIM, and Thermal-HS on a single system.
One Setup. Every Technique. No Compromises.
Our QuantumScope™ microscopes are designed to accept multiple sensors, covering a broad range of analytical techniques for failure analysis. A single QuantumScope™ configured with a multi-sensor head can locate open lines, ohmic shorts, impedance issues, leakage currents, leaky capacitors, timing errors, oxide defects, resistive vias, latch-up, ESD damage, and dynamic failures.
The core design philosophy centers on minimizing sample setup time and maximizing data collection efficiency. The device under test (DUT) is set up once. From that point, various analytical techniques, sensors, optics, and software are engaged on the same system — no time lost moving the DUT to another instrument, and no risk of losing biasing stability or test conditions in the process.
Single-technique systems are available with clear upgrade paths to additional techniques — so your investment grows with your requirements.
Three Techniques. One Integrated System.
InfraScope™ is part of QFI’s broader temperature measurement microscopy platform. Depending on your application, you may also want to explore:

Photoemission Microscopy
emmi™
Detect and localize photon-emitting defects — gate leakage, oxide pinholes, forward-biased junctions — with industry-leading sensor sensitivity.

Laser Signal Injection
XIVA™ LSIM
Laser signal injection microscopy for soft defect localization — identifies faults that may not produce photoemission.
An Optical Purist Approach
Our sensors are mounted on a movable slide-based stage, and objective lenses — up to 12 — are mounted on a single turret. This design keeps the optical path as short as possible: simply the selected micro-objective and sensor. There are no extending relays, beam splitters, or folds in the path.
This approach eliminates unnecessary optical interfaces and dramatically reduces aberrations from reflection, deflection, scattering, and absorption. The result is cleaner data, better signal preservation, and a distinct performance advantage over more complex optical designs that sacrifice efficiency for flexibility.
NIR, visible, and MWIR lenses can all be mounted on the same turret — giving engineers maximum technique flexibility without changing the physical setup.
Built Around Your Lab Environment
Different laboratory environments and applications call for different mechanical platforms. We offer a family of standard mechanical platforms designed to answer the majority of application requirements — from basic microscope configurations to probe station and tester docking setups.
When standard solutions don’t fit, we design custom mechanical platforms and analytical solutions for unique requirements.
